Jason Barron named General Manager

Experienced leadership for a new facility

Jason brings more than 25 years of experience in youth soccer and facilities management. His background also includes 25 years of coaching, current work with Nationals Capital Area, and 13 years directing regional tournaments for Unified Events.

Connecting programming, competition, and community

As General Manager, Jason will help shape the year-round experience for clubs, leagues, schools, camp operators, tournament organizers, adult athletes, and families using Capital Sportsplex.

Leading the road to opening

His experience across both soccer operations and event delivery gives the project a practical operator’s perspective as facility schedules, partnerships, customer workflows, and community programming come together.

Capital Sportsplex is going to create incredible opportunities for athletes, families, and the greater Lansing community. I’m excited to help lead a facility that will provide a first-class environment for training, competition, and community connection.
